Care Character was founded out of PhD research and the application of well-established work behavioural models. From the beginning, our goal was to design assessments that truly reflected the language and realities of the care sector.

Working alongside social care specialists Cohesion, we built a recruitment tool that spoke directly to care providers’ needs. Our early success in tackling the challenge of care worker retention quickly revealed the critical role of management quality. This led to the development of our manager assessment — and ultimately, the creation of a suite of tools that together provide organisations with a complete picture of their workforce.
